The Blackman Fire District Board of Commissioners will be holding two workshops this next month to discuss increasing impact fees specific to new construction in the Blackman Fire District Community. According to Florida Statute 163.31801, “impact fees are an important source of revenue for a local government to use in funding the infrastructure necessitated by new growth.” Impact fees are not a tax assessment, but rather a fee imposed on new construction, both residential and commercial.
These workshops are open to the public and will be held on Jan 23rd and Jan 30th at 7pm at the Blackman Fire District, 1850 Hwy 2, Baker FL.
The Blackman Fire District is seeking recruits as Support Staff, Medical Responders and Firefighters to fill vacancies within our department. Come join our team!
The Blackman Volunteer Firefighter Association relies on the support of our community volunteers to help us provide the best possible services to our first responders. We offer a range of volunteer opportunities, including administrative work, event planning and fundraising. If you are creative and want to help, this is the place for you!
We rely on donations from our community to help us provide the best possible service. Your donation will help us purchase new equipment, provide training for our firefighters, and maintain our facilities.
